Candice Night is that small group of those blessed with angelic voices. Annie Haslam, Karen Carpenter, and one or two others in the present age. They usually seem to have personalities that match their voices and Candice is one of the most charming performers ever. Their live sets are in small venues and the small numbers of fans that are able to get tickets are true fans of Candice and Ritchie. I am insanely jealous of Ritchie not just because the is the awesomest guitarist who ever lived but is married to one of the most beautiful and charming women on earth. It's just not fair - at least me play guitar reasonably well. Ritchie of course launched the careers of the great Ronnie James Dio and Joe Lynn Turner after his tenure in Deep Purple. And that's another thing - he owns the most famous guitar riff. Ritchie kids around a lot in interviews and you never know if he's pulling your leg unless he lets on. I heard him say once that the SOTW riff was based on the opening of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Backwards. It's plausible I reckon.

Anyway those look to be the only live sets officially available. I've got a few vids of live shows that are decent. The title track on PTWGC is said to have been written by Henry VIII. Actually that seems to be factual - the rumor that Henry wrote Greensleeves is not factual. And you were thinking all Henry did was have people's head chopped off. Check'em out if you want to hear real talented musicians and singers. And prepare to have your... nevermind.

Not going to Jonestown this week unless it's an emergency. Thursday's a holiday and sure ain't goin' Friday. Then it gonna be pretty crazy for another month. Jonestown police say they gonna work extra hard, I say they'll need to. Much people as there is coming over from Memphis look for a lot of theft and stuff around where people shop. Got a feeling this may have been an out-of-towner. If it was a local there would be someone who knows.

Howard Pyle's Otto of the Silver Hand isn't my favorite of his works - that would be Men of Iron. Both were written for about the same audience - whatever 'young people' is. I believe it used to be called juvenile - teenagers I suppose, I was probably almost a something-teen when I read them. Men of Iron had the better climactic fight and sadly it didn't fare well as a movie but most books don't. The book-slap [1] really should be a thing.

Still not much to talk about NEA-wise. Somebody over in Philips County (Helena-West Helena area) is in jail connected with a fatal shooting this day but that's about all they got. It's so slow that the Weiner city budget is about done. Weiner is a little wide spot on 49, got up over 700 peoples for a while but now down below. I drive back to Jonestown that way occasionally, leaving Hickory Ridge it's pretty straight through rice fields you go through the smaller wide spot of Fisher where there ain't but a couple hundred people and they there's Waldenburg and they you hit Weiner. Before long you're in Jonestown. Anyway it looks like Weiner is gonna get that squared away. And maybe get their sewage pond fixed

The Wynne PD caught a guy from a mini-storage theft a while back. They caught one and he's in the Cross County jail - the other fled to Memphis and now has been arrested and returned to Cross County. Sure wish they would just stay in Memphis but as some say maybe there ain't much left to steal over there. Tennessee has been having Venezuelan gangs but the Memphis police they don't see any. Memphis may be too scary for even those guys, or more likely the locals don't know.

KAIT pulled this one off the AP feed. The state-run media still doesn't get it. Aside from the fact that the Biden bribery affair was not fabricated (that fact being the reason the guy had to be discredited) it hardly matters - the regime lost. This poor sod may indeed be convicted but it's possible the Trump DOJ may drop the case. It's hard to say if all the victims of the departing regime can be be adequately compensated for their suffering - or actually it isn't hard to say. Some of them are dead.

Didn't expect much with it being a holiday so no news. Not that nothing happened but it'll have to wait until tomorrow to get reported. The Wynne paper urged people to drive their motorcars safely during the weekend. Personally I would urge people do do so safely every day but that's just me. The Arkansas State Police helpfully offered some advice on how to do it. We still got tommorrow and I ain't going Jonestown to see how crowded it is. Actually the last time I ventured into the commercial regions on Black Friday was probably twenty years ago. Traffic makes it a little annoying if I do have to get out but everything looks good for now.

About the only news anybody puts up today is about Black Friday shopping. Got a couple of Amazon packages arriving today and tomorow probably and that's all the shopping I'll be doing. Memphis news about the same - it'll probably be next week before we see how many of them got arrested over here. KAIT had a bit about Memphis police. Idunno if they ever changed the requirement for Memphis cops to have to live in the city or whether it would make any difference. If I lived outside of Memphis I sure wouldn't want to work there. Other day one of the Memphis TV stations had this. If Memphis is near the bottom of the list - below Jackson Mississippi is pretty bad but it's at least above Detroit. Didn't see Flint on the list.

One of the other Arkansas TV stations had a bit about one of our state representatives. Not sure how KAIT missed it. Actually that sort of thing doesn't seem to be the kind of problem here in Arkansas it is in other places but nipping it in the bud is a good idea.

Dunno if Vox invented that or not but he has a way or reminding you not to overthink things. Only problem is these days so many people playing games and some of them aren't as as smart as they think they are that they can complicate things for normal people. Hence my uneasiness leading up the 5 November last. I was expecting the Dark Ages to begin again because the disinformation had been so effective for so long.

Hoping the slow news is because there isn't much bad stuff to report. Couple of shootings in Little Rock with one deader. LR doesn't have it as bad as Memphis but the rot is nowhere near as serious yet. I was there more on business than I was in Memphis back in the day and when I get down there once in a while now it's not near as bad. I don't even drive through Memphis - I drive around it even if it's a hunerd miles of two-lane. People get shot on the interstates too regular to suit me.

Anyhow the biggest thing so far as someone driving through a Taco Bell attached to one of the gas stations in Brookland. I'll give the Brookland news dude a link on that - KAIT has it too. Don't believe I ever been in there, not that I patronize Taco Bell much these days. Times I've stopped in Brookland I'm usually going in the wrong direction for it to be a right turn. Anyhow KAIT reported that a motorist got pedal confusion. They called it an "older woman" - what happened to political correctness? No word on whether it was one of those Audis - I would imagine there aren't a lot of those on the road these days. Audi blamed the drivers and I dunno how all the legal stuff worked out. Since there were 700 incidents and six fatalities it's worse than Pinto fuel tanks. They had two or three and those was Pintos getting' rammed in the rear by big vehicles going fast. Not that Pintos weren't on the flimsy side - I owned a few. Wish I still had that 1980 wagon - they'd finally made it into a pretty decent car. Be that as it may I ain't driving anything newer than my 09 Rangers when you got the computers deciding to do stuff can get you killed.

Jawbreaker 56 minutes ago EX-BI informant accused of lying about the Bidens is indicted on federal tax charges I suspect they're just trying to get him on something but it’s too late.
