Into the Fire also appears on a
movie soundtrack
with a song written by the band for it. By George and Jeff anyway according to Wickedpedia. Seems they ain't been with
the band for a while although George seems to have guested with them some. First time I saw them was probably around 1984
right after the album was released. Went out and bought all their albums - both of'em actually since they only had a couple.
They opened for Twisted Sister at what they used to call the
North Hall.
Bands that weren't big enough to fill up the Coliseum played there and Sister wasn't real big yet but were gettin' there.
They got everything right and was a great show.
Dokken had some problems with the sound and Don's vocals were a little muted at times but I was impressed. Anyway I got most of
their stuff up through Back for the Attack and then for some reason didn't keep up with them. They had some kind of internal
issues as I recall and may have broke up around then. Live stuff is great but Beast From the East is the only official release
I got with a handful of decent concert videos.
Nightmare on Elm Street movies? Pretty good and stayed that way. Wes Craven was one of the greats. I saw Last House on the Left
way back and it was scary and disturbing. Actually I've seen just about all of them except for some reason the Scream movies. Dunno
why not those. Old as I was I had a crush on Heather Langenkamp. Actually I was just thirty or so and she was only about ten years younger than
me.
Okey-dokey, what we got for the first day of the year? Probably some stuff left over from last.
The most recent
found body
was in Blytheville.
Child shot
and that's all they know except it was in Osceola.
I kinda like
this idea.
Folks already figuring that as the sane states help round these people up and get them gone them as ain't caught yet gonna hightail it for the blue states. Not that they
won't get got and removed there but the more help we give the feds here the more resources for dealing with the resisters.
Jonestown paper getting extreme with stuff
like this.
Lemme tellya something Revern. The
biggest disinformation campaign
in history just failed bigly to accomplish its objective. An
Arkansas pundit
commented that outsiders had a tough time in Arkansas politics this year. Ya think? New cartoon too:

We all had some laughs watching clips of press conferences whether it was
Circle Back Psaki
or
DEI hire Jean-Pierre.
I suppose Psaki was marginally more intelligent than Jean-Pierre but that is a
left-handed compliment.
Neither is very bright but you don't have to be smart when your side is
winning and the other side isn't even trying. Anyway it's over in less than three weeks. The incoming press secretary will be smart and won't need
to resort to obfuscation and deflection. President Trump's press secretaries last time around were too and one is now the
governor of Arkansas
and could be president after President Vance finishes his second term.
The exchanges with Peter were always entertaining but I wondered if he ever felt bad about engaging in a
battle of wits with an unarmed adversary.
When you're not winning and the other side is trying midwit doesn't cut it. Obama got by due to circumstances - McCain and Romney were weak
and Obama got a certain amount of white-guilt vote and more than usual black vote. I rate his intelligence as possibly above Jean-Pierre but not
by much. He was an experienced demagogue with years of experience and even then was teleprompter-dependent while Jean-Pierre had almost no experience.
President Trump had an uphill battle even with the non-stop disaster of a near-vegetable president saying whatever his managers wrote and signing whatever
they put in front of him (it didn't help that occasionally the wrong wires touched somewhere in what brain he had left and he went nuts) and was hobbled by
lawfare and saboteurs in his own party. I feared for a while that they would succeed in 'winning' the election even with an army of dunces and imbeciles
but it seems it was meant to be. I was encouraged by the miraculous failure of the first assassination attempt but was still holding my breath until
midnight of 5 November. Of course we still have to get to 20 January and I'll breathe easier when it's official.
What, Chris?
It's the monologue. Alright, lessee what's up.
Had a
shooting on I-40
in Little Rock. Hav'em in Memphis all the time (I-40 runs through both) but this seems to be the first one I've heard in Little Rock. Drove I-40 end to end but not in the same trip. Most of
I-55 too.
KAIT got a killin' up in Misery. Couple of DWIs in Jonestown. Still nothin on the found body in Blytheville. Believe I'll check on the weather.
I confess to not paying attention enough to figger why somebody would do
terrorism in New Orleans.
Since I pay almost attention to football as basketball - actually it's
pretty much the same for both which is to say none I didn't know there was one of the big football games goin' on there. Still don't know why a college bowl game was a
big enough thing for a terrorist operation. Pretty weird stuff, the
Tesla truck immolation
in front of a Trump hotel is pretty hard not to figure out. Looks like another
one or two may have been in the works. Wouldn't have been surprised if they did something at one of the big midnight affairs but that didn't happen. Guess there won't
be any reliable info til after 20 January.

Why do I suspect the author was taking a dig at the
old bimbo
on the news with
Faustci? Or just bimbos in general. You got people with the intelligence
of a rabbit on a good day making millions of dollars a year doing some of the worst acting you ever saw but maybe that will be coming to an end soon.
Not a lot of news from the new year activities yet.
Something awful and this time the perp was from Michigan.
The
judge that had some domestic problems
and some people didn't want him to be a judge is apparently gonna be. Fact is so many people in those positions are lowlife scumsucking dirtbags I'm not sure just what
some people had against this guy. He should fit right in unless he ain't dirty enough. Speaking of dirtbags
this dude
was one then and is one now.
NEA Baptist
had some news.
If you get a choice on where to go be sure to go there. I tellya, been to Saint Barnyards some recently to see if they can find something broke but
nothing there. That's cool, pain and I are old friends. They real nice there and pretty good operation - I was going to the imaging facility over there on Matthews, lot of new
stuff. Nice people and all, pretty nurses and that's always good. But NEA is way better.
National news is still the terrorism in
New Orleans
and
Las Vegas.
Looks like the outgoing regime is gonna break as much stuff as it can. 20 January can't come soon enough.

ICE in this case is internal combustion engine not the folks that we hope will soon resume stopping robber-raper-murderer and terrorist and just insane
and diseased and other human debris from entering the country and begin removing the ones that got in already. I got a feeling they'll do it too. Looks like
we'll have a functioning Congress long enough to get President Trump officially elected and then they can inaugurate him and all that good stuff and then the
fun begins. There could be some fun before that but it'll be a few days.
They figured out who the
body in Blytheville
was and then
another one
found up in Misery. Still not much info beyond name and that she was a missing person.
The identity of the one in Misery is reportedly known but not yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Idunno if the guy working on the highway and was killed by the guy that
stole the Corvette
and was fleeing back to Memphis was a ARDOT employee.
This one was.
I had to go to the website for the
Craighead County Detention Center
to find out
who this was.
They tell you what he done, how much of each kind of drugs he had, didn't say what kind of gun he had though. Or his name.
NEAReport give you the name and usually a mugshot.
OK,
one more
before we go. First time I looked at it I thought they all happened in one day. Wouldn't be surprising in Memphis but it was just that they was all
Walgreens. No Rite Aid or CVS. Some citizen they talked to:
"It's becoming like a societal norm. People robbing and stealing at young ages and living a lifestyle like this," Jones said. "It's sad to see honestly. They're probably scared."
WREG.com
Does he mean the thugs are armed-robbing because they're scared? Hmm, well OK.

Three Days of the Condor
is from way back. 1975 to be reasonably exact. I had just missed the Vietnam war and hadn't yet enlisted in the
U.S. Air Force. I guess it was a good time to do it as we wouldn't be having any wars for a while and anyway unless you were a pilot wars weren't
that dangerous anyway. Had some good times... anyway TDOTC is based on a novel called 'Six Days of the Condor'. I guess sticking with the book
woulda been hard to do. I mean, they solve crimes three or four times a day in forty-five minutes with four or five people - one or two Caucasian
females, one or two females of indeterminate race/ethnicity but definitely not totally Caucasian, and usually a black male and
one white male
and the white guy is a doofus who constantly has to be corrected by the superior female beings of non-pure-Caucasian nature or occasionally the lily-white
female one. Or the black male or female or both. Optionally the only white guy is the villian - craven and stupid naturally. Or you might have
the white guy doofus and a white guy villain but that's two white guys so not often.. That about cover it?
About three years ago I had to go have surgery on account of I would have a heart attack pretty soon if I didn't. Had the surgery and then had a heart
attack. Don't ask me - all I know is I woke up three months later and found out I'd been in three hospitals for three months and the one I was in didn't
want to let me go on account of my insurance company was paying them something on the order of a quarter million a month for my 'care'. My family got me
outta there finally but the last two or three weeks I was awake but couldn't get outta bed and all I could was watch teevee. CSI and all that, musta
had a half-dozen of them CSI ones.
Anynow TDOTC was a decent film, awesomely beautiful young Faye Dunaway. Funny about all her movies I remember are this one and Bonnie and Clyde.
I saw Network and pretty sure I saw The Eyes of Laura Mars (only because of how bad it was) and wait, yeah, I saw The Three Musketeers
about a dozen times. I just forgot it was her - she gets her head lopped off at the end. For some reason I remember Michael York - whether it was TTM or
Logan's Run or whatever he always had that look like he just woke up and found hisself in a movie and wondering what to do next. Always had a certain kind
of charm though.
Unlike the main guy in TDOTC. Robert Redford I never figured - not just that he went wacko nutjob greenie commie - he may have always been that way.
Just never saw him as a good actor. Dunno how he was successful but you could say that for a lot of actors and other entertainers, especially these days.
To be real though thirty forty years ago I thought it was kinda anti-American, like when I read Shibumi and not seeing the first time through it was
satire but with a point. When Washburn says he misses the clarity I can see that, being after WWI. Sure there was bad people behind that too but - in
WWII at least - it was a matter of American survival. By Vietnam I still didn't quite get it even though I was on the list to go when Nixon put a stop to
it - and his career as a result - and it would take a few more years for enough to come out to see it relatively clearly.
Chris sittin' over there thinking get on with it. Okey-dokey, here ya go....
Editorials in the Jonestown paper got a nice one by
Cal Thomas
and a dumb one by
somebody
that really just don't get it.
President Trump can troll better than anyone on.... well, X don't have much trolls these days, Fox News trolls are weaker than water, people don't
bother on Yahoo or MSM although I to see some change on Yahoo. Maybe I should make a new account and go play. The latest toon was pretty good....
I noticed the empty paper racks. I buy cigars at gas stations too, and Honey Buns and that Peak extra sweet tea two or three times a week and they got a
rack outside and no papers today. What, Chris?
No, the one at the light west of town. They done some remodeling after about forty years. I'd tellya some things about it if I had time. Maybe later.
Not much local news,
Jonesbororightnow
don't ever seem to update their stories so maybe NEA Report will put something up with a mugshot.

According to Wikipedia for whatever that's worth he apologized for attacking Sarah
Huckabee Sanders when she was Trump's press secretary. That's more than most of
them do.

Peter Doocy: This is just a little off-topic but what is seven times eight?
Karine Jean-Pierre: [consults notebook]: Sixty-four.
Peter Doocy: Are you sure? Most people seem to think it's fifty-six.
Karine Jean-Pierre: [angrily] I have already answered that question. [closes notebook and walks away]
Not quite an hour later the prisoner was delivered. Hands free but wearing leg chains she shuffled in between two guards . She
was clean and in a fresh jumpsuit, her hair still damp. Even with no makeup she didn't look half bad, Arthur thought. Nothing
special but not bad. He remembered her on the news shows, hair and makeup done by professionals just before going on.
Like all television news the PPN shows were completely scripted - the appearances on supposedly independent channels weren't much
better, just not as slick. The first time he had seen her she was reading a statement at a press conference. The Phoenix Five
indictments. She read the names of the arrested men and the charges. The scene switched back to the studio where Stoneman was being
interviewed by a reporter named Ashleigh Rogers.
"I love that scarf," Rogers said. "Is that a Sarah Rosenberg?"
"As a matter of fact it is," Stoneman replied, laughing.
"I suppose the people whose names you just read are not thinking about scarves now," Rogers said with a smile. Both laughed.
Wonder if they should play some of those videos for her. I would.

House votes for rules to make ousting # speaker more
difficult,
Thope this means they're not as suicidal as last year. At least the certification will get
done. It was almost like election night wondering when it would go south.

Word is President Trump had some words with some people and they got their minds
right. Scrapping the one vote challenge was smart - having it was utterly stupid.

Any ideas on visitors to DC on Jan 6? It'll be safe this time and having a huge crowd
there to rub it in would be fun:

I haven't heard much about it. I suspect there will be. Too bad the J6 prisoners won't
be out before then. There should be a massive party when that happens.

IF the ICE were never invented and hose/carriage was still the primary
means of transport. Washintgon would have found a way to regulate
the material and design of each nail holding the horseshoes on. Then
they'd require horse breeders to create a horse that gets a minimum
oF 10 miles per 10 pound bag of oats. Saddles would be subsidized for
those who only have blankets, and free ponies given out based only on
your zip code.
