I don't know that that's about. It was the first of their what people call 'concept albums' I suppose. Mindcrime got a lot more attention and I probably like it better but I like the industrial-dystopia atmosphere of Warning. May be some truth to what Philbin sez to Beef in Phantom of the Paradise that nobody cares what it's about.

Senate Bill 3 upsets some people for some reason. It sez nobody should bet special treatment and that seems good to me but somehow giving everyone the same opportunity eliminates opportunity for some others. No sweetie, it means everybody gets the same opportunities. How hard is that to understand? She also wrote an editorial in the Jonestown paper.

Daycare worker beat up a 2-year-old child. That outfit looks like the one that closed a few years ago after the child death. A lot. Nice-looking facilities, guess there some money there. Medicaid much?

Not real clear writing but it seems the guy that got dead on Daybreak Drive got shot by a guy from Marked Tree. Meanwhile they gonna try this guy for rape a fourth time. That's a fourth trial - keep getting overturned.

Could talk about folks unhappy over the deportations but it seems to have been less big than they planned on. President Trump reversed the abomination perpetrated on female athletes by Biden. Ever notice there aren't any women 'becoming men' so they can win in athletic competition?

Anyhow it getting good and often amusing.

Guess it feels a need to be cautionary. If I ask it about murder it would probably advise me that homicide ain't a healthy way to manage problems. Sadly some people seem to think so. Okey-dokey, looks like it Friday. Lessee if anybody starting the weekend mayhem early.

As usual not much info but it seems they here in Arkansas - why the kid from Wisconsin is here isn't explained. Hope they find them and she OK. Sometimes these things don't end well.

The Bargain Hunt store in Jonestown closing as are all the others. Went in there once right after it opened, walked around a hour looking for something I might want and didn't find it. Buds was better.

Couple guys in vehicles shooting at each other, one had a kid with him. No Dodge Chargers but the Escalade fit the profile. Nobody dead.

Jonestown paper had a clueless cartoonist. I wonder if these people take President Trump seriously or just pretend they do. Or if they know.

Taking a quick look at things we got some fatal car wrecks. I drove up to Jonestown Thursday and how many vehicles did I meet? Hundreds for sure, and any one of them coulda come over the line and that be the end of me. I do hug the shoulder pretty good to maybe have a chance if one does. Wish those strips they cut in the side to wake you up were about half as deep. They'd work just as well and I guess it don't hurt your tires running over them but I could do with them not as deep. Glad they're there though since if somebody get over the line they'll notice in time to not kill me.

Amber Alert for an almost adult. Sure hope they find her safe and sort things out. Weirder when they say he may be in a vehicle with Pennsylvania plates and the missing person is from Wisconsin and he here in Arkansas. You'd think as much as they keep track of law-abiding citizens they would know there the non-abiders are when there a need.

With not much else I looked at the Jonestown paper editorials. This clown just plain don't like anything that good and decent and he pretty facts-deficient. The fact is that despite attempts to cover it up it was revealed as DEI policy all around and innocent people paid for it. Dunno why I bother except to make a snarky comment in X. Once in a while one of them actually replies which is pretty hilarious. You can tell when a cartoonist is really Trump-deranged by the extremes - I can laugh at a pic of Trump or something goofy he says - he rarely does that these days - but the way it looks like the guy is seething inside, his brain squirming like a toad.

How much money can you get from a bank - robbing it or any other way. Most I've take out or put in last few years was under 5K - any more and they track it and report it to the government. I need more than that I get a cashier's check and they they already know what they want to know. Some people tell me if they want even 5K they have to notify the bank they need it a day or two ahead of time. They said this guy got $4,700 which would be about right for a teller drawer. Seems this dude had some other problems besides deciding to rob a bank. Wasn't familiar with Naylor and googled it - little place with about 440 peoples just over the Misery line from where I live. Anyhow he in jail now. Peoples Community Bank has a bunch of places around southern Misery - dunno where their main office is. So many new banks or banks changing their names seems like ever time I in Jonestown there a new one. Ain't really but there a lot of them.

I don't want a pic of any of this person. People don't figure you fool around doing bad stuff you gonna get caught and your mugshot be published with a description of what you accused of. Marmaduke one them places I made fun of because of the name, fellow I worked with from there and I always calling it Belvedere because of the other dog comic. Ain't been up there in a bit and seen no reason to go.

You could say what DOGE is doing feels like somebody taking chainsaws to their golden geese. Actually the rumor is that this was planned over the past year in case President Trump returned to power and when they moved they went in fast and hard and everything was uploaded to a safe location right away. They knew the lawsuits would begin as soon as the targets realized what was happening and they'd have judges ordering them to stop right away. Ordering them is one thing and making them do it is quite another - the can of worms has been kicked over and they wiggling all over the place. I expect the lawsuits will slow progress some but the damage done by the exposure can't be undone.

Usually they turn out to be lying almost all the time and when they aren't it's most likely unintentional. Someone said - many people - said that Slick Willie would lie when the truth would have served him better. I witnessed it regularly and while he didn't seem a pathological liar - I've known a couple - he was a stranger to the truth. During the Plandemic lies were the order of the day, day after day after day and lie after lie after lie but now that it's over few seem to want the perpetrators to be held accountable for the deaths of so many innocents. Sheeple gonna sheep I reckon but I wonder how long Google (or anyone else's AI bot will allow this sort of thing):

Now we're getting lies about the Trump administration and especially DOGE. KJNB had this bit in the national news:

But while the administration has highlighted several government projects Trump believes should be ended or curtailed, evidence of widespread illegal fraud has not been presented.

KJNB
No Mikey, they not gonna file lawsuits and let these things drag on for years - President Trump has the authority to shut down USAID and cut off he money and has done just that. A couple hundred billion so far that won't be going to overthrow governments and corrupt the populations with their garbage. You will be able to slow it some but the guy who just kicked your ass after you tried for years to break him financially, imprison him and even kill him won't be stopped now.
Others have already observed this was planned for a long time - probably years - and they just walked in and hit the kill switch. Having been in both corporate and government operations of sort I suspect that there was not even one employee with the abilities of Musk's geeks. The people just push the buttons - or click the mouse (mice?) - on a machine that only a few people had any idea of how it was built and when it stops they have no idea what to do.

Alex@MyndCryme

This seems reasonable. ICE isn't going into churches or pretty much any other legitimate institution even if they are harboring illegals. They have years of work collecting them off the streets and gang hideouts - the bulk cleanup of millions that are nominally non-violent-offenders will be a combination of self-deporting (cutting welfare will be a big part of that) and those that remain gradually blending in - still illegal but not a parasite and paying their way even if they are being paid under the table. The acid test will be the clarification of the 14th amendment - whether the present court will do the right thing I have non idea but I lean towards them doing the wrong thing. We may get lucky and have an opening if one of the three commie tools decides to hang it up or otherwise departs (I expect Justice Thomas to retire fairly soon so President Trump can replace him with someone reliable) and tips the scales a bit more. Whichever way it goes I expect it to have litte impact in the short term as the millions of illegitimate 'citizens' probably won't be evicted but it has stop somewhere.

If I could be Supreme Benevolent Dictator for a year or so I would deal with the matter thusly: All people will be either (1) Aliens (here at the pleasure of the government) (2) Residents with the right to live and work and everything else except vote or hold office and (3) Citizens with all the rights of Residents and the right to vote and hold office. All residents have the right to apply for and earn Citizenship and the offspring of two Citizens, two Residents, or a Resident and a Citizen would be Residents with the right to earn Citizenship. That's about it - the requirements for earning citizenship would be sufficient to ensure reasonable quality but not especially onerous.

Silexis@MyndCryme
Seems reasonable. Problem people who can get what they want without being reasonable don't see any need to be reasonable. The absence of accountability leads to a general deterioration of character. When multiple generations of people have never had to work for a living - everything handed to them one bit and as with a herd of cattle or flock of chickens in which the diseased and weak and non-productive are pampered and sheltered they will become in ever-larger part of the population. The huddled masses yearning for free stuff become larger the more free stuff you give them.

What, Chris?

Yeah, they call me a racist too. Even when race or color or anything else was never mentioned. I got enough Cherokee blood to be a member of the nation if I wanted, I mostly Irish and there was a time they treated Irish people as bad as black people, maybe worse. And all them people on welfare ain't the same color anyway so how did race get into it?

Couple or three minor arrests so far, usual stuff. Guess they having the Super Bowl thing about now, ain't they? Is it Sunday night? Hang on.... looks like it in progress. KAIT had a thing about three dudes that been to every Super Bowl that ever was. Dunno how many that is, they use them Roman numbers things. I can decipher them without any help but wonder how many can these days. LIX so I reckon that one shy of sixty. Wonder how many people that watch football know right off what it is? Anyhow these guys seen'em all (or will when this one is over) and I ain't never seen one. Been to Daytona for the 500 twice and Indy three times but never saw a race at Indy. Bunch of cars driving around and stuff but not much racing. Last one was when A.J. retired. Ain't been to a NASCAR event since the year before Dale Earnhardt died and even then it was getting a little silly.

President Trump is there and he the first president ever went. First one did a lot of things. Seems like he been to Daytona and he'll probably be there this year.

Anyhow that orta do it for this installment. Tomorrow, lessee, Tuesday. Maybe some stuff be coming in by then.

AI overview My backup plan is my original plan but with more alcohol" is a humorous phrase that means when a plan isn't going as ex- pected, the "backup" is to simply do the same thing, but with the addition of more alcoholic drinks, implying a way to relax or cope with potential setbacks by having a drink or two. @ Key points about this phrase: Sarcastic undertone: It's not meant to be taken seriously and often suggests a lighthearted approach to dealing with challenges by 'drowning sorrows' with alcohol. Social context: This phrase is often used among friends or in casual settings where people might joke about using alcohol as a coping mechanism in a stressful situation. Cautionary note: While used humorously, it's important to remember that excessive alcohol consumption is not a healthy way to manage stress or problems. Generative Al is experimental. The target area was beginning to fill now, and Myles turned his attention to the task at hand. Sighting the rifle on the group of microphones at the podium, he waited. He did not have to wait long. Almost too soon, he thought, the time was at hand. A small dark-haired woman emerged from the expected location, surrounded by a handful of other people. There was no mistaking her, though. He had seen that face many times, too many times. Norah Parkhurst, majority leader of the National Assembly for the past six years, had overseen the rapid march from a failing republic to a near dictatorship. The idea of killing a human being, something Myles had never done, remained a gnawing disquietude inside him. Yet the things he had seen - bodies shot, burned, and otherwise mangled in the actions taken against dissidents - and those unseen ones, disappearing into secret prisons or who knew where, made further inaction indefensible. This woman, and her accomplices and enablers, had the blood of many on her hands, and that was a fact. She was halfway across the open area between the door and the podium. He could make a head shot while she stood at the podium, but the smaller target was a bit risky. He got the sight picture he wanted and pressed the button. A couple of seconds later the rifle stock banged against his shoulder and the unbelievably loud crack of the shot bounced around the buildings around him. The boat-tailed bullet, just under a third of an inch in diameter and just over a third of an ounce, expanded to twice its original width as it shredded the heart and exited the back, bouncing across the slate floor and disappearing into a flower bed.

Alex didn't even reach for his gun. He knew it wasn't there. It was probably the first time since Harry had warned them about the threat that he'd even opened the door without being armed. Now there was a couple hundred feet between him and the house, and he was inside a building with only two exits. One was the big roll-up door, which was closed. The other was blocked by... Vinny and Frankie? Looks about right. It's a hit, like Harry said. They were inside now. Big guys with baseball bats. Aluminum baseball bats. Not taking any chances. Alex retreated, backing away through the narrow space between two large tables. Let them think I'm cornered, easy kill. Seein' as how I AM cornered. He took a quick look over his right shoulder. The left one was still stiff. The fire axe was lying on the workbench, its handle in just the right position. Too heavy. Not room to swing anyway. The hatchet though. Its companion tool was there. A hatchet, with a spike on the back side of the blade, like the axe. He used them to dig out protruding roots around the poplar trees, and had brought them into the shop to clean and sharpen the blades. One of the goons was between the tables now, about to enter the open space. C'mon Vinny.
