Compassion is the necessity of the American communist. Necessity is still used as during the Plandemic. People were told that closing businesses and not going outside and wearing masks and standing six feet from other people and taking one vaccine after another was necessary in order to prevent the deaths of millions.

Separating people from their money - the money they have left after confiscation by government - requires persuasion and while many foolish people will cheerfully give money - if they have it - to anyone with a good sob story. And if you object to high rates of taxation you are not being compassionate. If I suggest that the city were I live doesn't really need any new parks or bike trails or swimming pools if it is to be paid for with another penny of sales tax I not being compassionate.

And if I suggest that the thugs with the proverbial mile-long rap sheet shouldn't have been released with no bail after the latest depredation I am not being compassionate. The poor thugs don't have any money, how will they pay bail? Does it not work both ways? If I am compassionate will those thugs reciprocate by not robbing, raping and murdering me should our paths cross? I'm not going to push my luck by letting them get close.

Vox Day has been referring to President Trump as the 'God Emperor' for a while but I don't know if it is a reference to this or not - that has been around for a while and it doesn't use depict him as a sandworm. I only noticed Vox beginning to refer to him thus after the election. I maintain that I am one of the earliest to make the Dune connection due to the Paul Atreides scenario. It is encouraging to see so many people - many whose only familiarity with Dune may be the movies - see the similarity. I suppose some people do regard him as The Tyrant

Seeing President Trump and Elon - the interview with Hannity may have enlightened quite a few people given his audience size. Elon is a remarkably ordinary sort of person to be the richest man on earth (and perhaps Mars some day) and one of the most intelligent. He has a middle-class manner and his personality works well with President Trump to whom Mark Levin refers as a 'blue-collar billionaire'. Some people fantasize about them having a falling-out (typically due to personality clash) but they should be so lucky. Speaking of the state of AI:

Who doesn't know what that means? In the U.S.A. anyway. I have no idea what engine Google is using but it should be able to figure that out. X Grok knows.

Google is not to be trusted in any case one wonders how long it and others will continue to behave so. The state-run media did it for a long time and is still doing it but with increasing less effect. That sounds like something like Giggles would say. With Elon Musk apparently preparing to launch a search engine and email service Google may eventually feel some pain but it will take a while. Like the legacy media they will probably hold on to the current business model as long as possible but things happen fast these days.

If you want to see the poor remain poor, generation after generation, just keep the standards low in their schools and make excuses for their academic shortcomings and personal misbehavior. But please don't congratulate yourself on your compassion. Thomas Sowell

The phrase "you should live so long" is a Yiddish expression, often used in Jewish-American English, that translates roughly to "may you live so long" or "I hope you live that long." It's typically said with a mix of humor, irony, or skepticism, depending on the context. For example, if someone says, "I'll finish this project when I'm 90," you might respond, "You should live so long!" implying either a playful doubt they'll reach that age or a lighthearted wish for their longevity. It's rooted in the Yiddish phrase "zolst azoy lang lebn," and it carries a warm, cultural flavor, often used to gently tease or express affection. Does that clarify it for you? Any specific situation you're thinking of where you heard it?
