I probably used the Jeff Cooper quote before but it's one of his best, especially in angering what are these days called woke nutjobs but the term either didn't exist or wasn't being used back then. Jeff was quite a bit older than me - he was in WWII as was my dad so they were about the same age - it seems Jeff was about four years younger. My war would have been Vietnam had not Richard Nixon put a stop to that madness and my brief military career was between Vietnam and the next major war but I lost a cousin who was like a big brother to me in that war and don't feel kindly towards those who make unnecessary wars and especially those who do it to acquire money and power over their fellow man. That would be the regime we just ended and most of the ones before it and both parties are guilty.

Anyway I figured it was appropriate with LA being burned a little with the anti-Trump riots. The LA mayor (I won't dignify by using the name) is probably the most dimwitted occupant of such an office. The guy in Chicago is pretty dumb but not dumb like this and even the one in Memphis isn't that brainless. It may be that some are under the radar as their domains aren't in the news that much. In any case she's out there mouthing off it seems like every day and may be every day about how they're going to resist and put a stop to the removal of illegals. Not that she's looking at the big picture of California losing some more congressional seats. If a million have self-deported thus far and ICE continues its effective work the illegal population alone might cost them a couple of seats and the natural migration of citizens and their money continues unabated. No, I suspect her hatred of all things good and decent is rooted in a legitimate self-hate and her anger is directed at those who aren't fat, ugly and stupid beyond belief.

If you're without any redeeming characteristics whatsoever and you see all around you people - even people in your own camp - are all superior intellectually and almost none are as repulsive as you are it would be hard not eventually being hating yourself. Not that your hatred for others - particularly others who oppose you - is any less but you can't get away from yours and it is corrosive, eating away at you every waking minute. So you do anything you can to hurt them and in her case it's very little. Nothing in fact.

The two big ones lately are the "Epstein Files" and the exposure of dark underbelly of Russiagate. Somehow or other - organically or organized - the Epstein monster grew another half-dozen or so tendrils. That President Trump is in any way politically endangered by the exposure but is in a bad spot because:

There isn't a single collection of files in one place that can be released. If the administration has some and releases them and something shows up later that's a problem. And it's likely that there is stuff scattered around who knows where except for the ones that have them. I don't know how many people think there is some where a "list" or a "black book" with definitive answers but neither I nor anyone I know ever did. Probably some has been hidden and some destroyed and we will probably never know.

President Trump made a humongous mistake in appointing Pam Bondi. It was pretty much going to happen and the initial nomination of Matt Gaetz may well have been a ploy to make her approval more likely. She wasn't even competent to be AG of Florida and her handling of this shows - she was a pretty face with decent presentation abilities and as long as she had nothing more to do that talk about the results of the people doing the work. She screwed this up six ways from Sunday and I hope that she can get through a year (for appearances) before deciding to spend more time with her family and write a book. Then President Trump should appoint a special prosecutor and let a grand jury have it for a year or so.

Another big problem - and it may be THE big one, is that Democrat and Republican administrations have had access to whatever is in the hands of the government and may see that there is bad stuff on both sides in there. If one side releases something on the other and the other knows there is something on both they are likely to start dropping what they have.

Whether the Russiagate revelations are to defuse the Epstein crisis or was planned I can't say. I suspect that it was coming and if the date was bumped up because of the Epstein debacle I'm OK with that. It certainly has the Enemy in panic mode. They've got them dead bang (not like most of it wasn't known) but without someone or better a couple or three someones flipping and some whistleblowers it may be a tough sell to the low-information types.

The talk went immediately to whether Obama could be prosecuted since he was president when he did it because supposedly the president has immunity for acts committed while president because Trump. That isn't the case because he is part of an ongoing conspiracy but whatever he isn't going to be because Republicans won't put former presidents in prison unless they Republicans. If they had the balls they would go for it and make the conspiracy case and try it in Florida and put him away but they don't. So he skates but knowing he will share the same fate as Biden (Revelation 21:8) is enough. It does seem, given the way the administration is going, that some of the bad guys might go away. If it starts looking bad it could become amusing:

If it starts to look like the administration has it nailed and the rats turn on each other I seriously look for Comey to be one. He's the biggest weasel of all and probably the most craven. He was talking tough when it looked like he had nothing to fear but have him looking at prison and see that change. What would be funny is if when he offers to turn they already have more than enough and tell him to pound sand.

That would be hilarious. Whatever they get, even if it isn't much, seeing these clowns squirming for a couple of years and spending some of their ill-gotten gains on lawyers would be especially enjoyable.
